The L.A. Skate Film Festival started with a very simple fact. Most of the countries in the Western world have at least one film festival. France has the Cannes Film Festival, Italy has the Venice Film Festival, the US has many amongst which you all know the famous Sundance Film Festival.

Skateboarding, the very art form/lifestyle that brought the concept of brand movies and documentaries to your very own VCR, lagged in having a Film Festival in the city that witnessed its own birth.

It’s time to bring justice to where it deserves to be and to launch the First Annual L.A. Skate Film Festival.
